For young women, away at school, living in a temporary place for study abroad or an internship, or simply juggling their busy school, work and social lives, getting to a doctor isn't always easy! That's where telehealth with can be ideal. For most young women under 21 a pelvic exam is not necessary. Many of their health care needs can be addressed simply through a discussion based consultation. STD testing or other laboratory testing can be ordered after a consultation. Some young women may have a regular gyn that they see for routine yearly check ups, but they want the convenience and accessibility of a trusted telehealth OBGYN physician as well.
