All preventative health visits that require a physical exam like routine breast exam, pelvic exam or Pap smear will be schedule starting April 15 or later depending on the pandemic situation at the time. By dedicating the practice to office based gynecology, Dr. Menn has the time to focus on patient consultations in a personal, relaxed setting. She practices with a holistic approach that includes preventitive care, patient education, and good communication.
Dr. Menn practices with a minimally invasive approach to medical care. Current advances in medical treatment and outpatient technologies have made a conservative approach to hospital-based surgery both feasible and preferable. For circumstances that do require surgery, Dr. Menn will refer to trusted collegues with the refined skills and currency that can only be maintained in a practice that performs a high volume of surgeries.
Dr. Menn is active in the The North American Menopause Society , the and became a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner in 2009. NAMS is an excellent patient resource for menopausal health.
Preventative Care and Management of Women at High Risk for Breast Cancer
The practice offers a comprehensive program to screen all patients for the risk level of breast, ovarian and colon cancer. At risk patients will be offered genetic testing. Patients identified as high risk will be followed according to a high risk protocol, also incorporating nutrition and lifestyle risk reduction strategies.
